SK GENERAL RULES

---CARS MUST WEIGH NO LESS THAN 32oz RACE READY WITH TRANSPONDER (PER THE SCALE AT TURN 4).

---MAX WIDTH FRONT AND REAR 8.25” FROM OUTSIDE OF WHEELS.

---WHEEL BASE MUST BE NO LESS THAN 9.5” AND NO MORE THAN 10.5” MEASURED FROM CENTER OF FRONT AXLE TO CENTER OF REAR AXLE.

---SPOILER MAY BE ADDED TO THE REAR OF THE BODY ONLY AND MUST BE NO TALLER THAN 1.5” AND NO WIDER THAN 4”

---TIRES ARE TO BE 1/10 SCALE SIZE FOAM TIRES.

---CARS SHOULD MAINTAIN A MINIMUM RIDE HEIGHT OF 3/16” SO AS NOT TO DESTROY THE CARPET AND HAVE NO FEATURES THAT WILL IN ANY WAY BE DETRIMENTAL TO THE CONDITION OF THE RACING CARPET OR TRACK.

---WE ASK THAT ANY CAR THAT IS NEW OR NEVER RACED AT TURN 4 BE PRESENTED TO TRACK OFFICIALS FOR APPROVAL.

SK SUSPENSION

---SPEC CENTER DAMPENING TUBE MUST BE USED!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS MEANS THREADED ROD, BALL CUP, FUEL TUBING, NO SPRINGS OF ANY KIND CAN BE USED.

---NO MORE THAN ONE DAMPENING TUBE CAN BE USED AND MUST DAMPEN SIDE TO SIDE MOTION ONLY.

---NO CENTER SHOCKS/SPRINGS OR SIDE SHOCKS/SPRINGS OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED IN THE REAR SUSPENSION SYSTEM OF AN SK CAR!

SK CHASSIS

---CHASSIS’ WILL BE RACED/USED AS MANUFACTURERS HAVE MADE THEM AND SOLD THEM IN KITS (I.E. BOX STOCK) AND HOW THEY WERE APPROVED BY TURN 4 OFFICIALS.

AS OF 10/23/09, THE FOLLOWING SK CHASSIS HAVE BEEN APPROVED BY TURN 4 OFFICIALS: KSKT V1, KSKT V2, KSKD, KSK, RSE REV. 1, RSE REV. 2, DRC WARRIOR/WARRIOR II, LEADING EDGE SK CAR, BEEFY PRODUCTS EXCALIBER/AVENGER/GRIM REAPER, RKR, AND J-CAR. OTHER CHASSIS MAY BE APPROVED BY TURN 4 OFFICIALS, BUT MUST BE DONE SO PRIOR TO QUALIFYING & RACING AND MUST MEET ALL SK REQUIREMENTS AS SET FORTH IN THESE RULES.

---PREFERRED BODIES ARE ANY TYPE OF SK STYLE BODIES—WINDTUNNEL, BEEFY, KSKT TO MENTION A FEW. THESE BODIES ARE NOT A MUST, BUT RECOMMENDED, BUT ANY BODY THAT IS RUN, MUST BE AN OPEN WHEEL SK TYPE BODY (I.E. NO PAN CAR OR TRUCK BODIES).

MORE GENERAL RULES

RACING

1. RULES: Turn 4 R/C Speedway is dedicated to provide a race facility for all aspects and levels of Radio Controlled racing. The Race Director will provide you with all the information needed for the day’s event at the Drivers Meeting. Prior to the start of competition the drivers meeting will be held. This is the racers’ time to get clarification of any rules that they may have. Failure to attend this meeting will result in driver’s inability to form a complaint about rules. All rules are referenced in the R.O.A.R. handbook, Turn 4 R/C Speedway Rules, or The TOUR Rules.

2. INSPECTIONS: Car/Motor inspections may be done to any car at any time, for any reason. Only Turn 4 R/C Speedway Officials may inspect the car/motor in question. This is to ensure you will have level racing at all times at Turn 4 R/C Speedway.

3. RIDE HEIGHT: Chassis Ride Height must be no lower than 3/16”

4. WHEEL DOTS: We do allow wheel dots.

5. QUALIFYING: During the qualifying races, the faster car has the right of way. The Race Director will keep you informed of lap times, positions, as well as let you know if a faster car is behind you. You will be asked to let him/her by. If you fail to give up the preferred line, the Race Director will then instruct the slower driver to give up the preferred line. Failure to comply will result in a 1-lap penalty assessed to the driver's best qualifying time. (see Section 8 below entitled "RACE" for additional rules)

6. RACES: Races are 4 minutes long. The Race Director controls the race. In the event that your car is in an accident, let the Corner Marshal pick up your car and replace it on the racing surface. DO NOT DRIVE AGAINST TRAFFIC. If your car is broken, the Corner Marshal will hold the car in the infield for the duration of the race. The Corner Marshal is not allowed to repair your car. You are to remain on the Drivers Stand for the duration of the race. Your car must finish under its own power.

7. RACING SURFACE: All cars can scrub in the tires on the carpet on the outside of the track barrier. No scuffing in on the track. All cars must be put on and taken off the track at the entrance of the drivers stand. Failure to comply will result in a 1-lap penalty.

8. PIT SPACES: Each racer is allowed 3 feet of pit space. You are allowed to use a shelf if you need to. If attendance allows, you can use more area.

9. RACE FOR FUN: We are all here to have a good time. Respect and treat others in the same manner as you wish to be treated. Turn 4 R/C Speedway is a family facility. Please keep that in mind and keep questionable language to a minimum when children are around.
